Why can't I find a Job?

Please, just don't give a simple answer such as "It's a tough market.". I am not talking about a 500,000 a year job. I am talking about the basic entry level jobs and I mean BASIC entry level jobs. Like cleaning toilets at walmart or target. Working at Burger King. The lowest of the min wage jobs. Sorry, but it's really b.s when a 19 year old can find a job making a sandwich.



Also, I make a photo copy of very Job app that I make when possible. I have three folders full of jobs apps. Over 25 big box stores locations and 10 "mom and pop" locations. All rejected. I been looking for a job for three years!





I had post for all the politically charged answers. Also, I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER, NOT ONE CALL BACK. I never even had a job interview, if you don't count the fake ones I had it in high school. I AM NOT ASKING FOR AN GOD-DAMN OFFICE JOB!! I am asking for an job flipping burgers at Burger King...not even that. Cleaning the **** from the toilets.



I don't think that it's Pres. Obama's fault BUT I think that the rich CEO's are shipping these kinds of Jobs overseas. Give me an real answer!!Why can't I find a Job?
OK, I gave you my best answer when you asked this same question a few minutes ago. Now, I will ask you how exactly you believe the job of mopping the floor at the Burger King in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin has been shipped overseas by some big mean CEO. Do they have realllllllllllllllllllly long handles on those mops?
Our economy is not growing because our capital has been misappropriated to too few people and our labor has been exported oversees.Why can't I find a Job?
Don't worry, 0bama's coming out with another trillion dollar "shovel ready" stimulus. Oh, and this time, he's 10% sure that shovel ready will be shovel ready.
Maybe all your responses on the application make you look as angry as you do look in your question's details. They don't really want to hire somebody who's going to go postal.Why can't I find a Job?
It's kinda hard to send a toilet cleaning job overseas without sending the toilet.

Besides the lack of jobs in the market, most people are unable to get jobs, especially in the summer, because college and high school students are looking for part-time jobs to make money during the summer. A good example of why you can't get even a part-time job nowadays is a company my friend works for. He's a manager at a video store and he says that when the "We're Hiring" sign was put out they received 100 applications within a one week time period.

That's why finding a job nowadays is stressful (well, that and the state of the economy).

Try filling out the application when you apply, and giving it back to them. Ask to see the manager. Show some interest.

Picking up and dropping off is what people who really aren't looking do.

Apply at restaurants, tell them you can fill in for anyone that doesn't show up, on any shift, if they just call you.

Mexicans are still angry at Americans for stealing their land, so they send their losers north to re-inhabit their lost territories. Washington retaliates by sending them our jobs. Now Obama wants to, literally, give away the farm. His immigration policies reflect just that.



Most Mexican immigrants are failures in their home countries, because they are lazy and look for the easy way. Their homelands are filled with factory jobs that had once been held by Americans on US soil. They enter the US illegally, because entering the US legally requires some effort and they want the easy way. They don't value education and, consequently, neither do their children. Many look to crime instead of work that requires education and training. After all. they're looking for the easy way.



Now Obama wants to pave the easy way for these people by giving them a free ride. More of the easy way.
Brown950 has it. I managed a couple of restaurants and would get so many applications, that it was impossible to comb over all of them. When someone insisted on talking with me, it really impressed me and it also gave me a real live person-- who was interested, to associate with a piece of paper. If someone came back twice more to re-indicate their interest, I nearly always hired them, I knew that if they had the initiative to take care of that, then they would probably be able to work independently without having to be baby-sat or without me having to spend too much time making sure they were getting things done. If they called, it was a plus, but if they came by during non-rush times, I knew they were really willing and wanting to work. Look them in the eye and tell them you really want to work there and ask them what you can do to improve your chances of being the one they hire! The labor market is very loose and you have to be pro-active to differentiate yourself from the other applicants, or you will fall through the cracks as an unknown entity. You will do great! Just start hitting the places you have applied, and make them so tired of seeing you that they know the only way to stop you from it, will be to hire you. Stay persistent and good luck!!

You went to a community college.

You failed and had to transfer to an online college.

You dropped out of college.

You fail at life.
