Is buying Left for dead 2 or 1 is worth it for a single player gamer?

I was just wandering if buying Left for Dead 1 or 2 is worth it for a single player gamer? i have a chance of buying a game tomorrow as a friend, i was thinking of buying Left for Dead, but i don't want to be disappointing as Quake 3 long time ago if you guys get what i mean. I don't have a net connection, just a little 3G limited connection to do my limited web stuff, can't play games on it.Is buying Left for dead 2 or 1 is worth it for a single player gamer?Okay this is going to come from some one that has both of those games. So I do know what I'm talking about.

Now, they are both good games, if your into the whole getting from point A to B while killing hordes of zombies. If your in Australia probably get LFD 1 because the second one has been censored in australia.



Now be warned though, I played this game online constantly for about a month and it didn't get boring, although I did have at least 2 friends playing with me all the time with all of us on microphones so we could plan stuff out all the time and joke around. After the month I got into another game but LFD was still hell fun. Now, I got the second one and never played it online and it was fun for about a week then it got boring. I was playing co op most of the time with my brother.



Personally I would say go for another game you can get more out of SO I will give an example.



GTA 4, for the awesome free roam and 1000s of missions to do and even if you dont want to do missions you can have fun free roaming everywhere.

Fallout 3, even longer gameplay and even more missions, best one player game in my personally opinion at the moment. Awesome free roam.



BUT IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, I WOULD SAY BUY RED DEAD REDEMPTION (PRE ORDER IT) AND GET IT WHEN IT COMES OUT! Its fun with a friend offline, and terrible online because of the annoying kids who play it. Single player offline is fun on your first run through, but will quickly get boring. In all fairness, it was made to be a really fun online multiplayer game.

I love L4d and L4D2 Ive never played online, i'd say its worth it.
