What's the difference between a hard core gamer and a causal gamer?

Note: Please describe the answer in at least a paragraph; I'm not really that fond of one sentence answers. What's the difference between a hard core gamer and a causal gamer?A Hardcore gamer cares about winning and about status. Whether this is through a ranking system or points system, they want to reach the top. The game is played for the challenge rather than just for fun (although they obviously wouldn't play it if they didn't enjoy it). They're arguably the most dedicated gamers, but also the ones who get pissed off easier upon dieing.

A casual gamer plays just for fun. The rankings aren't important, they play the game to pass time and to keep themselves entertained. Casual gamers have less reasons to get annoyed by a game, but also may not play it to its fullest extent. What's the difference between a hard core gamer and a causal gamer?A casual gamer is a gamer that plays games periodically. A casual gamer also plays different game types in a game for example if your playing call of duty 4 then you'll play multiplayer and singleplayer.

A hardcore gamer plays the game nonstop. A hardcore gamer will play only multiplayer and try to be the best of the best before anyone else. What's the difference between a hard core gamer and a causal gamer? That's a pretty easy question
