What specs should a normal laptop have for a pc gamer?

what matters most? hard drive, ram, cache or processor speed? and what should i get if i am going to have around 15 good games on it and maybe music making software as well, like spec wise, and how much will it be? what size hard drive ram and others should i get? What specs should a normal laptop have for a pc gamer?Right now a good laptop for gaming would have at least a Intel Core 2 Duo at about 2.8-3 GHZ, at least 3 GB of RAM and a decent size Hard Drive around 120+GB. The most important thing to consider in buying a laptop for gaming is the graphics card. Most laptops come with a video card that runs from the motherboard that is not made for gaming. You want to make sure you buy one with a "discrete" graphics card. Make sure that before you buy any laptop to find out the video card. They don't advertise it much, so you might have to dig through the specs to find out what it has.

If you really want to play the latest and greatest games get a desktop. It's a lot easier and cheaper. What specs should a normal laptop have for a pc gamer?while most laptops fature CPUs like intel p8600 or better eg. Phenom x4 on new asus serries you should pay attention to GPUs as many of them have missleading names eg gefore 9650gt m is just a bit better than 8600gt even though it might seem like new generation of GPUs it's just an old one but maed with smaller core technology.

look for GPUs with 256bit memory bus to get good gaming performanceWhat specs should a normal laptop have for a pc gamer?Like the first guy said. The graphics card, pay a huge amount of attention to researching it. If you get one thats not good enough then you wont be playing any games and theres no way to upgrade a laptop.
