How would one define a gamer?

I have come across lots of individuals who define gamers in different ways. They also view them differently too. Also, how would you define a master gamer (one who has mastered one to several games)?How would one define a gamer?Ah...this is a suberb question.

Gamer (straight from the dictionary of the great Rancid946)

Noun.

1) someone who spends any time that they are allowed gaming.

2) has a gaming console older than PSX and N64.

3) Can beat box the Mario theme.

4) Remebers typing in names as cheat codes. Metroid, anyone?

5) Walks around yelling a favorite character's line (for me, it's "Shinkuu...HADOU-KEN!!!" or "GET OVER HERE!!")

6) Knows that games and movies really shouldn't cross each other.

7) gets aroused by entering Gamestop

8) Remebers getting ready to seriously hurt Sephiroth, then just omnislashing him to death in FFVII

9) Knows what FFVII means

10) Would dive into a flaming house to save his/her game consoles.

And lastly, has collected a series of games that have had more than four games in the series (I have w/ Kingdom Hearts).How would one define a gamer?A 'master gamer' is one that has been with the industry(gaming) ever since its debut. They saw the first days of Zelda and Mario, all the way up to next-gen games such as Fallout 3, LittleBigPlanet, Resident Evil 5 and so on.



As far as I know, you can only play pro-level at one game genre at a time. For alot of people, that is FPS. For me, well I really don't know because I play alot of differentgenres(RPG, FPS, Platformers, Survival-Horro, etc...)How would one define a gamer?I think a gamer is someone who is good at a certain thing. Not exactly online games or video games.How would one define a gamer?
One who is a gaming enthusiast.
