The best for web, office and graphic arts. What set up woul you build with the coming changes anticipated. I am thinking IBM i7 motherboard for openers. What parts would you order and which essential software?What is the state of the art PC desktop for serious users but not a gamer?Parts:

For office work, I would use an AMD Phenom X4 9500, 4 gigs of PC6400 DDR2 and an ECS A780GM-A motherboard just to get the PCI-E v2.0 slot. The Radeon HD 3300 on board should be good enough. The rest is up to you but you won't notice much difference between an i7 and a Phenom 9500 for your purposes, except that your wallet will be a lot lighter.
