What is the state of the art PC desktop for serious users but not a gamer?

The best for web, office and graphic arts. What set up woul you build with the coming changes anticipated. I am thinking IBM i7 motherboard for openers. What parts would you order and which essential software? What is the state of the art PC desktop for serious users but not a gamer?Parts:

2.66 GHZ i7 processor,

a decent motherboard

4-6 gigs of ram

decent sized hard drive and whatever software you think you would want for art. Adobe photoshop, paintshop pro, etc....What is the state of the art PC desktop for serious users but not a gamer?IBM i7 motherboard? Jesus, you have money to burn. For office work, I would use an AMD Phenom X4 9500, 4 gigs of PC6400 DDR2 and an ECS A780GM-A motherboard just to get the PCI-E v2.0 slot. The Radeon HD 3300 on board should be good enough. The rest is up to you but you won't notice much difference between an i7 and a Phenom 9500 for your purposes, except that your wallet will be a lot lighter.
