How do you get guys on xbox live to take you seriously as a female gamer?

I'm always playing on live sometimes by myself or alone, and it seems like they take one look at my username and either drop out of the game or troll. It's hard finding good partners for L4D2 and competition for GH. I really don't want to change my username but unless they think I'm male, it's nearly impossible to find anyone who will play.How do you get guys on xbox live to take you seriously as a female gamer?I beat the crap out of people on the game so no they never talk to me cause I;m a girl.. Unfortunately you will have to pretend you are male. If you want to join a clan or something, you may build a friendship (even if it's only over the internet) and then later reveal that you are in fact female.



If you have proven yourself to be skillful enough, they really won't care if you are female. In fact, they may be pleasantly surprised.



I personally think It's good to see more girls playing games competitively (ie online against other people). and not just single player games or games that are purely social in nature.How do you get guys on xbox live to take you seriously as a female gamer?I play mw2, and yes i am a girl, and when I do decide to talk and the guys mess with me I just go along with their jokes... I find it actually kind of amusing, and after a while they warm up to me anyways...



But if you cannot enjoy their sense of humor, then I suggest a change of your gamertag. It doesnt have to be something to make you look like a guy, just make it your innitials, thats what mine is.

ha that's funny cause i know how you feel, well.. not exactly cause they never leave my game. but they always have some kind of remark when i talk but what i usually do is just invite my friends to play those games so i don't have to go through that. but besides that i havnt found a way so let me know if you do.How do you get guys on xbox live to take you seriously as a female gamer?maybe they think girls can't play or don't want to get beaten by a girl? Well if there leaving before they get a chance to see you play i don't see many options other than changing your name. All i can say is if you want them to take you seriously kick there asses.

By not using XBox Live to play games. XBox is still the "sports and FPS console" with nothing much good to offer that isn't also available on other systems, which is why it would still be the most-disliked if Nintendo hadn't become completely retarded the last few years. Sports and FPS are what people play who say "I like video games," and may even be good at them, but are not anything close to resembling gamers. These are the people who would rather go to a bar then program a computer, never took anything apart just to reassemble it, and may even have gotten Cs Ds and Fs in school. Even modern schools. Some of them like sports, and are playing sports games for that reason. Think about it, how the hell do you think companies like Madden manage to sell the exact same game with the exact same title for 15 years in a row as a "new game"? It's because the people they are selling to are stupid and are not gamers. The only way to avoid this is to go on PlayStation or a PC, where you are going to encounter a hell of a lot more actual gamers (in most games anyway) and where the only people who are still stupid enough to think girls don't play video games and type as though their keyboard is missing half the keys are under 14 years old.



You can also ask your IRL friends or internet already-friends for their gamertags, or go to the message board at http://www.interordi.com/mboard and make friends there, and use the signature box provided by Administrator Cossack to list all your gaming aliases in a place where people aren't that dumb except the short-lived n00bs who either change or quit on their own.
