I'm new to steam and there's a lot of games I'm looking to get. How ever they take up alot of space. Even though i have a gaming pc I'm hesitant in keeping so much memory used cause I think it'll slow my computer down. Is there a way on steam where you can uninstall a game and still install it in the future w/o downloading it?Is there a way to save space on computer while being a gamer?Well i am assuming you will be buying the games online through the steam store. I will say that depending on the game you can find them cheaper in local stores. I suggest if you can find a hard copy buy it because it is extremely faster from disk then from online. But regards to uninstalling and downloading. As far as i know from what ive done if you uninstall you do need to redownload the game again. You won't need to buy it again it will stay in your game library. If you wish to unistall a game but don't want to lose your data, im not 100% sure if it deletes it or not, but just incase back up your account folder... C:\Program files\steam\steamapps\accountname (save that folder it holds all you maps, models, custom stuff or online history, also save points in single player games. With steam games they don't seem to slow down the computer that much. I have 15+ games installed and i don't notice a change in speed. Just don't worry aslong as you don't fill your HDD you'll be fine. Also i suggest if you don't already get the program CCleaner and run it once a day, it just clears alot of stuff and keeps some extra space open...
Sorry for the long answer. :p hope it help XD
