What brand and hardware would be recommended for a part time gamer?

I have wore out my Dell Dimension 2400, and would like to upgrade to a lap top. I like to play games and read mail and surf the web. The 2400 is SLOW, and freezes up when playing games. I run Ccleaner, AVG, and Malwarebytes, and de-frag it when needed, but is still way slow. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, Thanks. What brand and hardware would be recommended for a part time gamer?any laptop with an GPU that is an
ATI 5650/6550+
Nvidia 335/425/525+
will run almost all games on med high settings.

Make sure you get 4GB of RAM and a dual core CPU as well (although quad core is preferred).

Take a look at Alienwares or XPS from dell, or any top of the line ASUS, or, if you feel like getting ripped off, a 17-inch MBP. Acers offer good performance at low price, but at the cost of a top-of-the line case. Avoid Sony (overpriced) and HP(overheats).
