and also is a nvidia geforce 310M good enough for mw2 on maxed settings? What is more important to a gamer for high graphics games a good graphics card or a good processor? The most important by far is a good graphics card.
Granted you need a decent CPU to play cutting-edge games, but your GPU accounts for roughly 75% of gaming performance. You get twice the fps with a $160 graphics card and $70 CPU than you'd get with a $160 CPU and $70 graphics card.
There are some titles (mostly strategy games like Civilzation and Supreme Commander) that don't need very powerful graphics cards but benefit greatly from spending more on a faster CPU. But those are the exception, not the rule. If you want high fps in Bad Company 2, Crysis, MW2 etc your GPU is the most important component.

The Geforce 310M isn't a gaming card at all, it's no good for MW2. If you're looking to play games on a laptop, you'll want a class 2 graphics card. Realistically, a GeForce GT240M or better.

Well it's really a neck to neck question..
Here's why..
If you have a good graphics card that can spit out crazy intense graphics super fast but have a lame CPU that can ONLY PROCESS the information for the graphics card at a slow rate then here's when the term bottle necking comes to play.
Even though the graphics card is great, if your CPU is not fast enough to process information quickly enough for a smooth great rendering of the graphics then you will notice a typical slower gameplay.
Because your graphics card will be spitting images out so fast but your cpu cannot keep up to your graphics card in providing the information needed for the images being sent out.
Also it will affect your RAM if you have a sucky CPU.
But with a Fast CPU and a SLOW graphics card, the same thing can happen etc.
But now the CPU is processing information so fast, but it is being bottle necked by the graphics card being it can only spit out so much information at once and cannot keep up to the information it is being given.
And the Nvidia gefornce 310M will work alright so the MW2.
you might notice some low fps in high detail. What is more important to a gamer for high graphics games a good graphics card or a good processor? Both, and more! but if your wanting to choose from just the two, i'd go with the GPU, but if you dont have a decent processor, and enough ram, it wont help muchWhat is more important to a gamer for high graphics games a good graphics card or a good processor?
They're both pretty important.... but I'll say if you had the choice of getting a better graphics card or a better processor, then the get the former. What is more important to a gamer for high graphics games a good graphics card or a good processor? To me its all about the processor, because if you can't even handle the game why would you want high graphics?
