I started looking for a job about 8 months ago, and the closest i got to a job was Burger King calling me and asking if i would like to work there or at another location opening up but i never received another call from them again. Most places will tell me they're not hiring and will keep my application if something opens. Some will tell me they're hiring but I'll never receive a call back.
I have no job experience. I once handed a manager my Resume and as i was leaving i turned around and he threw it into the garbage. I have been to two job fairs with a mass amount of people. The second i get a chance to show them my resume/application they ask where my job experience is and that somebody else here has it.
I'm 18, I apply for Full/Part/Seasonal. I don't care i just need money I can work any hour of any day. Why is it so difficult to find a job if you have no experience?
Consider career placement services, such as Manpower in the U.S. Also, ask your employed friends how they found work. Also, be positive. If you apply to jobs thinking "nobody wants to hire me" or "they are going to trash my application" or "I don't care I just need money," you would be better off panhandling. If a business doesn't want to hire you, move on.
Oh, and why is experience important? Think of this, if you need your tooth pulled, and the only two options are going to a dentist or going to a student in dental school, which would you pick? You would go to the dentist because he's licensed and you like your teeth.
because jobs like when you have some kind of work experience so they know your work ethics. they can call and be reassured that you are a good worker, here let me put it this way, you have to start at the bottom of the totem pole (fast food usually) and work your way up, thats how you start getting "experience" and the second way is usually college, schooling gives you a foot in the door. Why is it so difficult to find a job if you have no experience?
It's not YOU,dont take all this bad stuff happening to you personally,we as a country are in a depression economically, and they are naturally going to turn you down.I have all kinds of job skills AND a college degree, and they still turn me down,so,just keep putting out those app's,and try try try, dont give up because then THEY win,and not you!
