What would be the best gamer computer specs as of April 2008?

i'm looking to get a new computer. my computer is 3 years old and i don't want to upgrade - i want a new one. money is no option. what would the best specs be for a top of the line gamer computer?What would be the best gamer computer specs as of April 2008?Take a look at TechReport's system building guide. Anyway, their guide was last updated in late Feb, and there have been some new components to come to the market since then.



Extreme tech has a section for the best Bang-for-the-Buck pc and also an article for a great gaming PC.



Take a look at each of these articles and then maybe mix and match the things you prefer.

Also, I would purchase the newest geforce graphics card you can find. The 8800 series ain't half bad either. Get OCZ platinum memory (4 gigs). And make sure to get a large case with lots of cooling fans. Get a namebrand power supply with lots of wattage. Like maybe 1000 watts or so.
