What should I do now that I have lost my Job?

I am working just now as a Junior Structural Engineer, have been doing this for 6 months since i have completed my college in the summer.

The company I am with are have made me redundant my last day is 13th Dec.

Now I wish i had went to university to study further whilst this downturn in demand for construction work is upon us, i have contacted all of them (in Scotland) to find if they would take me on in January but unfortunately they all only take students in September 2009!!! The location of the work is not a problem but I want to continue with the line of work which i am in at the moment but there are very few jobs on the line regarding civils/structural work, and I have not had a response from any firms yet. These agency's are useless, but that's a story for another day.

I really don't know whats the next step is going to be in my life now that i am losing my job. But 2 things are certain, I dont want to be unemployed for very long if i do become and I am not prepared to do the really terrible jobs i.e. flipping burgers (been there before).

My career is hitting a brick wall and i dont like it in the slightest...

I know the ball is in my court with what happens next, but if there is any advise out there from someone it would be apprieceted. What should I do now that I have lost my Job?
I would try to get a job, any job, just to get some money coming in and start univertisity in September. If have to study while you are still young a have no mortgage and family to support as when you are older you will not do it.

Try www.networkrail.co.uk they are always looking for people doing all sort of stuffWhat should I do now that I have lost my Job?
The advent of the internet and all the internet marketing opportunities it spawned has given everyone a source of revenue even if they have no formal jobs or traditional businesses.

I suggest you start looking for online home business opportunities. There are many and you just need to research more. You can do affiliate marketing, selling in ebay, and more.

The best thing in this is that, if in the future you ultimately get into a regular job again, you can continue with the online businesses indefinitely.
