I work at a fast food/burger place. I started just under a month ago, and I am a teenager. It is a fun place to work, and I love it there, but it gets really slow and not too many people know it exists. The people that do come in LOVE the food, especially the new people trying it for the first time. Almost everybody that comes in says they didn't know we existed, or they were looking all over for a nearby location of this chain. It's a chain, but there are very few in the state I live in. My family owns an advertising company, so they could do ads for them. I just don't know how to bring it up to the boss. After all, I am new, and I don't just want to push my family business. How do I go about this? They really need more business, because it's been really slow.New employee- advertising?
I'm sure your boss knows the business is slow. Be sincere. Give him/her your families ad agency business card and ask if someone at the families agency can call him to introduce themselves. There is a good chance,( if this is just one location) that there is a corporate advertising agency already, so maybe ad something like, I would really like this location to be really successful and my families ad agency is an expert in this local market.
Also you could ask if there is anything you could do to help, i.e distribute coupons at your school etc.New employee- advertising?
just ask him the boss why everybody says they never knew he exsisted ymake it sound like everyone is asking slowly drop in with do you advertise? if he say not really them say well my family does advertising would you be interested in talking to them and trying to increase buisness? something like that
