What should I do? Lady manager said she'd call me, male manager claims there is no lady manager? WTF.?

Last Thursday I went in to Burger King and asked the lady at the cashier to see the manager. She said she is the manager. So I said I'm applying for a job. She asked me for a resume %26amp; she asked "days or nights" %26amp; "part-time or full-time" I said both, and part-time. She said she would call me.



She didn't call, it's been a week so I decided to call myself. I asked to speak to the manager and it was a male so I told him that a lady manager said she would call me last week. %26amp; He said " I don't know which lady you're talking about" %26amp; that there is no lady manager.



What should I do ? =\ I wanna go back and talk to her (I remember how she looks) but it'll be a waste of time if she isn't there.. :'(

Either the woman who took your application or the guy on the phone is playing games to keep you from getting a job there. Who knows why, their friend is looking for work or they don't like your "type" who knows, but for some reason they don't want you to get the job. Or they're just @$$holes that think they're funny.
I would suggest that you do two things.
First go to that location during a weekday, and ask to speak to the manager. Note whether they have a name badge that says manager or franchisee or some other title, and if the are someone in authority, tell him or her what has happened. Explain that you just wanted to let them know that somebody is playing games and possibly keeping qualified applicants from working here. Give the manager all of the details - when you came in and what she looked like or when you called and what he sounded like, the manager will be able to check the schedule to see who was working.
Second go apply someplace else. If the employees there are going to play those kind of BS games to keep you from even trying to get hired, you do NOT want to work with them. Probably, the real manager was out and she was acting manager in his absents. You should go back and see the manager who's name is on the board, if there is one or inquire what his name is and ask to speak to him and re-apply. You can also try and apply on line,

go back to the burger King and ask her if she really is the manager. It might even say on her name tag. If you don't believe her, ask another employee or go through the drive-thru and ask for the managers number that way. Good job for following up by the way :)
