Are there any employers, or employees, out there who can help me with this problem?

Hello, I am a twenty-one year old, hardworking Canadian female. I have been having trouble finding a job since February of this year. In order for you to truly understand where I am coming from, I will gladly explain my situation to you. There is a few re-hiring in this explanation, so please bear with me. And I apologize for dropping the names of the companies.

I started working in 2006, when I was sixteen. My first job was at Burger King and I quit after a week, in August 2006. My second job was with La Senza in November 2006, which had lasted almost two months, until I was terminated. My third job was with the PNE in June 2007, it is a seasonal job, and I worked there for two seasons, from June 2007-September 2007, and in April 2008-October 2008, I got terminated on the very last day of the second season. My fifth job was with McDonald's, in November 2007, I worked there for a month, then I quit. My sixth job was with La Senza (same location that I previously worked briefly for), in October 2007 and I was fired after two weeks. My seventh job was with McDonald's (same location that I previously worked briefly for), in February 2009 until September 2009, where I quit. My eighth job was with Sirens, in November 2009 until February 2010, where I was terminated. My ninth job was with Burger King (not the same location as previously stated), in June 2010, and that was only for two days, then I quit. My most recent job, was this past summer, of 2010. I was hired at the PNE in July 2010, and worked through The Fair in August 2010 until September 2010... I was accepted for re-hire and I will be returning in summer 2011.

From August 2006 until November 2007, I had either quit or have been terminated due to being irresponsible and not being able to fully understand what responsibility truly was. From February 2009 until present, I understood responsibility. I was only fired from Sirens because of conflicting schedules, they did not notify me when my shift was, when it was on a school day, and I was terminated without verbal or written warning. And I quit McDonald's due to unfair pay that ultimately led me to move back in with my parents.

I am a responsible and hardworking individual, and I really wish I did not make those choices. My question for you, is what can I do to fix this problem? I only have one reference and it was for the PNE this past season. From my knowledge, employers are able to look at your work history. What can I say about this, because they will see it? They won't tell me, so should I mention it in the interview?

The reason why I stated I was Canadian is because I am moving to America in Spring 2011 and I need references, I also learned from my past experience of living on my own (and being unfairly paid at that time) that you should have an emergency savings. So, not only do I need a reference to find a job in America, but I will also need money saved up to fall back on, during my job search.

Any constructive advice would be greatly appreciative, thank you.Are there any employers, or employees, out there who can help me with this problem?
HAHA OH MAN

you really want me to read ALL of that? Are there any employers, or employees, out there who can help me with this problem?
Use family friends as references and use only the better and longer places for your CV but you sure have moved around alot in jobs and this does not look good to a prospective employer! Are there any employers, or employees, out there who can help me with this problem?
The short answer is employers only know the work history that you tell them. There is no resource they can look at to see your previous work history.

Your best bet would be to include the Sirens and PNE jobs and not even put the other jobs on the resume. Another option would be to get a volunteer position in order to get a second reference.

I would also suggest you don't apply yet again at the other places that you previously worked. I also suggest that you still have not learned a mature responsibility given your reason for leaving Mcdonald's and your two day stint at BK.
dear,

you have two options

first is be honest and tell the truth , but it can go negative also depends on the employer you never now what can feel him to think about you it is a matter of luck

or second option is that be specific and just show only a few of your expereince i think when u started doing job at 16 was too early you can start it to 20 years . i think then ur problem is going to be solved and why don;t u try some other jobs in different filelds
